Let the Wild Rumpus Start

Where the Wild Things Are

I loved this movie, it was visually beautiful along with the powerful story behind it.

I can't get over how adorable all the monsters were. I am debating if I should be Max or Carol for Halloween.

Me and my gal friends went to the midnight premiere show on Thursday -- we made Max's crown for it and everything. It was a good night.

Inside all of us is a wild thing.

Opening Ceremony launched a collection inspired by the movie and Monsters. I am in love with everything.

Delightfully Tacky made her own Wild Thing skirt which I also adore.

Considering how expensive all Max suits are and the fact I own a sewing machine I am set on making my own costume for Halloween. But should I be Max, Carol (the main monster) or an Owl?

The Empty Bottle

I really wish I updated a lot more, But now with my show over, maybe I'll have a little more time. (hahah we'll see)

Last Saturday went awesome, I met a lot of great people and for my first show I think everything went really well.

I made a lot of new jewelry and hair head bands and feather clips the night before my show, so sadly I do not have great pictures but they get the job done.

Jewelry;

The show;

I am sorta bummed I didn't get that many pictures at The Empty Bottle.

Only 3 more days till my show!

This Saturday, October 10th at The Empty Bottle. (1035 N. Western Avenue) from noon to 4pm, I will be selling my goods at the Handmade Market and I hope to see everyone there!

I'm so excited.

New bags;
Fall Owl Bag

Vintage Royal Blue Bag

I love this new guy, he needs a name. Any suggestions?

I am hoping that I will soon start blogging like I used to, before the job of hostessing took over my life.

Oh, and this past Sunday I had my first class at the Art Institute of Chicago. I loved it.

I had too much fun..

..Taking these pictures;

New bag: Which I love! Its reversible with the same two patterns making an owl design and a large pocket design also. The colors just went too good together. Will be at Handmade Chicago on October 10th, (unless you can not attend and want to grab it before its gone, then just contact me and ask for it to be listed to my etsy.)

Last week was Homecoming week. This year is so fun, I'm glad I went to everything.

(sorry I have fallen behind with blogging, with Handmade Chicago a week away I'm freaking out. And I spent a lot of times making spirit week shirts.)

Cigar, Bow tie and a Mustache..

What else could anyone ask for?

He is un-named, and cigarless for now. (I still need to run to HobbyLobby to create him a plush cigar.) But he's so adorable, and I think he will be looking for an adoption family at the Handmade Market I am selling at on October 10th.

I was so fond of my outfit I wanted to do an outfit post. Sadly I only took a couple of pictures and hated all of them. But for some reason I decided to grab a couple of me and my new guy at the end.. and one came out okay.

I finally found a dress for Homecoming. I like it, but I was trying to think if its really me. I am defiantly going to rock my leather jacket with it, hah. And I also have an idea on shoes.

The real color is a bit more lighter.

Shoes; I want black pumps, and the front of the shoe covers alot of the foot but shoews your toes and the sides. If that makes any sense.

This past weekend and current week has been...

busy, eventful, fattening, exciting, lazy, full of baking, sewing, worrying, and filled with homework.

Labor Day Weekend:

(Christopher and I went to the zoo, maybe Labor day was a poor choice -- crazy packed with hectic mothers and strollers.)

Me and my good friend Jenny made our friend Phill a birthday cake last week. It was a cat cake! Hahaaa, it's too funny to try and explain why.

And yesterday we made a cookie cake for our lunch table that also was made into the face of a cat! (I really wish I took pictures of the process, and everything.)

In less than a month -- Chicago Handmade! I recently noticed this and I have been hard at work trying to get as much done as I can.

Bags I recently finished:
Made out of a Vintage Pillow case cover;

(I made two bags with the same material and design)

Made out of an Vintage Sesame Street Sheet;

Made out of same vintage sheet;

I really hate how all these pictures came out. Ughhh

Sorry, I have not added any on my etsy yet. If you are interested in a certain one let me know, and I can either put it to the side for you, our put it on top of my list to list it on my etsy.

(ahhh I hate work right now, they put me on the schedule for everyday the last two weeks. It is honestly making my life depressing, I can't keep up with friends or school work.. and more importantly my MustahCholé jazz. If there not going to listen to my availability I might be job searching again soon. That is also the reason why this blog has been left un-updated for quite some time.)

Well I am off to work... Working my youth away.
